About Austin

Austin is an all around IT type guy who has at various times had his hands in software development, network setup, database administration and other fun things like replacing bad PC hard drives. His 10+ years experience are completely in the world of healthcare working for hospitals, small private practices, and large software vendors.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University.

His current interests include web application development with Rails, web services, and user interface design. Current languages of choice include Ruby, but he's been finding love for Python again (damn you whitespace). He writes a geeky column for generatioNext magazine and is okay with it. Austin resides in Johnson City with a fiance, a cat, and a dog.

About This Site

This site has worn about a million different pairs of clothes. It started out as one of those hip blog sites, went away, came back as a wiki, went away, came back again and again and now is back as about three plain old html pages. That's about all I have patience for here.
